Home-style Green Beans
Ingredients
- 2 pounds Green Beans, trimmed
- 2 cups water
- 1 1/4 tsp salt, divided
- 1/4 cup Basil EVOO*
- 1/2 tsp Turbinado sugar
- 1/2 tsp Garlic, finely chopped
- 1/4 tsp Freshly ground black pepper
- 2 cups cherry or grape tomatoes, halved
Instructions
- Place green beans in a Dutch oven, add water and 1 tsp salt
- Bring to. boil, cover, reduce heat for 10 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside
- In a saucepan, mix the EVOO, sugar, garlic, salt and pepper, then add the tomatoes, cooking just until heated through
- Pour tomato mixture over the beans and gently toss. Serve hot
